Fairmont hosts Fear of Frying; Daily half-hour cooking show brings zest and recipes to Rockies
The fun, informative cooking show Fear of Frying, just finished taping at Fairmont Hot Springs.
The culinary team is made up of Robyn MacGarva and Brian George, who take cooking from "haute cuisine" to "my cuisine", making creative dishes from simple and not-so-simple ideas. The series is set to air in Canada five days a week on MenTV and SunTV in the fall.
"Having the taping here was a great opportunity," says Marion Garden, marketing manager at Fairmont Hot Springs. "With all the recent developments and expansions, especially within our food and beverage department, it was nice to be able to provide a great set for the episode. It was a memorable experience for everyone."
The show is produced by Grant Patterson, who is also the creator and producer of the long-running cooking show Pasquale's Express. One of the hosts, Brian George, has been in television and movie acting for 30 years. He can be most remembered by his role on hit sitcom Seinfeld where he played Babu. Wife and business partner Robyn is a busy mother of two who balances two jobs as a cooking show host and a flight attendant of a major American airline.
With recent renovations and upgrades, Fairmont Hot Springs. is no stranger to fine cuisine. With 13,000 square feet of newly renovated restaurants, international and local chefs are dealing up savoury dishes all year long. New chefs to the Rockies at Riverside are Adrian and Lara McCormack, bringing flavour and flair from the U.K.
Trained under Antony Warroll Thompson, celebrity chef and creator of the Food Network, Adrian brings his impeccable culinary skills to the kitchen at Fairmont Hot Springs. Lara's front-of-house experience operating some of the most prestigious pubs in the U.K., like J. Sheeky in London and St. Andrews Links Golf Club House in Scotland, compliment Adrian's kitchen masterpieces and add a friendly flare to the recently upgraded golf eateries.Back to Fairmont Hot Springs Media Centre
